ZERO may remind us the scorecards we got in schools! But once we enter our college, zeroes makes us heroes. And he who invented the zero is a real hero. Though zero means nothing, math without zero is also nothing. Zero is the greatest invention of Indian genius. It is unknown that who and why discovered zero. But the earliest reference to zero is in chanda shastra written by pingalacharya of 200 BC. Zero in Sanskrit is sunya and it means void and empty. Zero is an unequivalent contribution by our mathematicians.
